Community Service Projects
MSPP is committed to providing our students and staff with opportunities to do community service here in Massachusetts and beyond. Whether it is volunteering at local agencies like The Greater Boston Food Bank, Community Servings, The Food Project or doing community service in New Orleans, the MSPP community is committed to being there! In addition to our projects, we donate to local food banks, shelters and community centers. Our Community Service Workgroup meets regularly to develop rich and meaningful opportunities for all. For more information on community service at MSPP, please contact Gretchen Nash, Director of Multicultural Affairs/Community Service gretchen_nash@mspp.edu
The MSPP community has been busy doing community service.
This past December 2011, MSPP donated approximately 500 pounds of food to the Roslindale Food Pantry in collaboration with the Parkway Running Club. Thanks to all who donated!
In January 2011, MSPP CARE (Communities Assisting Relief Efforts) spent another amazing 2 weeks in New Orleans doing community service with a variety of local agencies. (Click here for more information)
In March 2o11, we returned to the Food Project in a collaboration with students from Brook Farm Academy High School. We also did service at Cradles to Crayons sorting clothes for disadvantaged kids.

In April, staff and students and alumni collaborated with IMEC (International Medical Equipment Collaborative) putting together medical supplies and equipment for developing countries.

MSPP students, along with some friends and family, participated in the Audubon Society’s Statewide Volunteer Day – Work For Wildlife at the Boston Nature Center in Mattapan.

In May, nine MSPP students participated in the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) fundraiser event, NAMIWalks in support of NAMI’s signature programs in Massachusetts.
Thanks to all who do such a great job on behalf of the MSPP community!
