Richard Reilly, PhD

Ph.D. Adelphi University, Derner Institute for Advanced Psychological Studies

Dr. Reilly is a core faculty member in the Counseling Psychology Program, where he currently teaches Theories of Counseling, Substance Abuse Evaluation and Treatment and Clinical Practicum I: Helping Relationships.

His areas of professional interest include: the application of mindfulness to teaching and to psychotherapy practice; development and implementation of integrative, affect-focused and time-sensitive therapeutic models; the role of social class and culture in psychological theory and practice; and human sexuality, including treatment of sexual dysfunction.

Dr. Reilly is a member of the American Psychological Association’s divisions of Psychotherapy, Humanistic Psychology and Independent Practice, as well as The Society for the Exploration of Psychotherapy Integration (SEPI).

He maintains a private practice in Cambridge, MA, where he works with individuals, couples and groups.
